Having been on both the client and attorney sides of the table, I know first hand what qualities clients want in an attorney.

Clients want an attorney in whom they can have confidence, and who has the education and experience required to fully understand and effectively address the situation.  Clients ant an attorney-

As I see it -

my practice philosophy.

The terms "estate planning" and "elder law" are used to classify the law I know.  These terms make it sound like young adults don't need to bother.  But they do. Anyone 18 or older who has property, or who has people they care about, should get legal advice about the "what if" and "when" for themselves.  Leaving these things unattended can heap quite a job on someone else in the most emotionally trying of times.

Having been on both the client and attorney sides of the table, I know first hand what qualities clients want in an attorney.

Clients want an attorney in whom they can have confidence, and who has the education and experience required to fully understand and  effectively address their situations.

Clients want an attorney who listens to them and answers their questionsadvocates for them seriously and credibly;  and, whose fees are reasonable.

My goal is to be that attorney handling what can be called "estate planning" or "elder law", or "the law of being a responsible and caring adult".

Charges for professional services.

  • A fee may be charged for an initial virtual or in-person consultation conference where the client's situation is thoroughly reviewed, advice given when possible, and design of any appropriate plan is determined.  The initial in-person consultation fee will be discussed in a brief initial phone conference with the attorney before the in-person conference.
  • Fixed flat fee charges related to "traditional" estate planning documents (e.g. powers of attorney, wills, trusts) are  typically  established.
  • Some legal matters have fees based on hourly charges for time expended in providing professional services.
  • An estimated attorney fee may be presented to a client at the initial in-person consultation conference. By giving a fee estimate, a client will know what financial commitment is being undertaken and can budget with that in mind.

Major credit cards are accepted for fee payments.
